Adding a new node in chef is easy

17-Dec, 2013

I am currently playing around with chef. As I mentioned earlier, the command line client for controlling Chef is called Knife (appropriately enough given the cooking theme). To add a new node to the configuration you run the following command:

C:\Users\mransley\workspace\jn-infrastructure>knife bootstrap cobalt.justnudge.com

That method of connectivity certainly appears simpler than IEM based on my experience.
